How last ditch? I suppose very last ditch would be one of my Cold Steel folders I usually carry, my hands, or whatever I could pick up what is handy, most likely a beer bottle!

I had a HS .22lr derringer, it sucked. As for the spork, is that a metal one in the photo? If so I want one! Some guy I knew claimed his buddy got stabbed with a plastic spork in jail!

Last ditch if I did not STOP the criminal in an attack where I was in FEAR of my life...

any handy TOOL, ax, hammer, screw driver and/or a knife, a fork, kicking legs, screaming loud, etc.

Since I do practice often in self defense situations... I sure that my gun's cartridges and my SKILL for up close and personal protection would STOP the criminal and defend my life.

You never know though, eh?

I prefer to use a Ruger S/A Blackhawk in 45Colt aka long colt and/or a S&W D/A Model 686 in 357 Magnum or 38 Special Plus P ammunition for Self Defense although I would use one of many other calibers including my 22LR firearms if that is what I had on me. No one wants to be shot in ANY caliber.

My last ditch and summer primary carry is the P32 and my last, last absolutely on my back and can't do crap ditch is my SOG Trident.

Actually, a last ditch weapon could include virtually anything. When I think of last ditch weapons, I think of "natural" weapons such as one's hands, elbows and feet. Apart from this, whatever is available can suffice.

I believe that anyone who is serious about self-defense should contemplate improvised weapons in case of an emergency. After all, trouble rarely schedules an appointment.

Actually, the best last ditch weapon I ever had the occasion to use was a car antenna. I was assaulted in a parking lot by a fellow armed with a knife.. Snapped it off the car and went to town on the guy.. very, very, very effective

No derringers of any kind. I have a NAA mini .22 revolver and holster grip for my smallest, a Kel Tec P11 for my most often carried, often carry a .38 on an ankle for back up, and may add a P3AT soon. Never been a fan of two shot derringers.

I don't like Kobayashi Maru scenarios (like "what if you only had one gun...") because they are based on the idea that the user is a complete doofus and has gotten into a jam. Suddenly, this same guy is brilliant, and finds a magical answer.

I think condition yellow is the best last-ditch weapon. In other words, we're all firearms users, we all read the same magazines, some of us are soldiers and cops. Don't get into the situation in the first place, or into any starship with a Japanese name.

Yes, I carry two knives on occasion. Truth be told, one is usually a "food knife."

I only have one handgun, so I guess I would revert to pistol-whipping, should work well with a nearly 3 pound gun (PT92). Or, if I'm too far away for that, then good old fashioned "run-like-hell"
