They were talking about New Jersey being a pro Bush state this time around, and when the guest was talking about how NJ likes gun control, O'Reilly says, "Well Kerry can't present the gun control stance since he doesn't really support gun control."

Wow, I like O'Reilly, too.

If kerry doesn't support gun control than I guess ted kennedy doesn't drink.

O'reilly is a total moron when it comes to the subject of guns. I don't think he is anti-gun (yet), but he is clearly VERY IGNORANT of the entire gun debate.

If he meant that Kerry doesnt VOCALLY or PUBLICALLY support gun control then he is right. The fact is that Kerry can't come out too far in favor for gun control as part of his platform as it would cost him more than he would gain.

The problem about being "pro gun control" is that it could mean anything when coming from someone's mouth. Being against making your own nuclear bomb means being "pro gun control" to some people, while others might claim that Jamaica's policies WRT firearms are what "pro gun control" would mean.

When someone tells me that they are "pro gun control" it doesn't mean much to me at all, besides the fact that they probably don't know much about guns besides what they see on TV.

As an "Irish Cathoholic"

He freakin angers me. I ran into that liberal claptrap by the boatload over in the Emerald Isle when I lived there a few years ago,they're all for shotguns and .22's for hunting and predator control on the farm but are against CCW for even off duty cops,against anything larger then .22 for rifles.
The English disarmed them a long time ago and their rulers love keeping the power in their own hands.
Irish criminals can get guns when they need them though.
I've heard "O'really" say he is pro gun but that "we" don't need a "millitia" running around with assault weapons.

No wonder "we" don't have a unified Ireland.

Attention Irish cops lurking out there,if you side with the Chapaquidick killer & the O'reallys you won't be able to CCW off duty in the future,you'll have to turn your gun in at the end of the shift like the rest of the "free world" does.

The reason the European socialists have a problem with firearms is because they were defeated with edged weapons.
In the Americas the firearm reigned supreme and was the weapon of choice.

O'Reilly is one of the GOP statist and conservative gun grabbers. They basically want as much control over the little person as any big government Democrat.

The difference is that his ilk want you to be control by giant corporations and force while the Democrats want you to be controlled by the state and force.

The GOP is a touch more concerned if you get stoned and have lots of sex.

Otherwise, neither party's elite offers much to the common person.

An armed populace is as much a threat to the giant corporation structure as it is to a state run society.
