Presumably, we are all law abiding citizens here, so I have a very tricky question that many will propably have to do a lot of thinking to answer: If our elected officials were to abrubtly ban all firearm ownership,(besides police officers, military personnell, etc.) how many of us would voluntarily turn our weapons into the government(assuming they didn't confiscate them) and furthermore, how many of us would acquire firearms illegally if we could do so

Asking how many people plan to break the law?

That's a non-starter here.

As for the first question, the proper phrasing is, "what course of action makes it unnecessary to answer the question?"

I'm not going to ask the membership to publish their hypothetical planning for "worst case" scenarios.

So this is where the thread stops.
