What pocket holsters are working for you folks? The included holster comes out with the gun on the draw, as does the Desantis Nemesis. The Nemesis works better than the included holster but still not 100%. Any recommendations? Thanks as always!

I use a Sticky Holster. It’s perfect for pocket carry and if I ever get the urge to wear this IWB I’ll be good to go. You would not be sorry. It’s light and stays in the pocket when you draw the pistol.

How's the printing? They seem a bit thick.

Wife uses a Sticky holster for her TCP. I've tried it and it stays in anything you put it in. No thicker than any other pocket holster.

Stickies seem to be the bar for inexpensive nylon pocket holsters.

I use a Uncle Mike's size 3,it doesn't come out with my J-frame 442-2,638-3 or my G42. when I pocket carry them.

I don't know. My LCP-II broke hard after less than 80 rounds of factory ammo.

The included holster is a joke, too.

I bought a kydex pocket holster with the "hook" at the bottom on eBay. The hook was too tall and got in the way of my fingers when I tried to grab the gun, so I filed it down.

I read where your LCP II broke, and that does suck. I'm sure Ruger will make it right. The holster, to be fair, is no worse than any other pocket holster. It's your basic serviceable soft pocket holster with a tiny bit of "stick" to it. Nothing to write home about, but it's not an awful one either. I just prefer the sticky for IWB tuck-n-go.

I'm not liking the sticky for pocket carry currently. Comes out with the gun too often. Hopefully it breaks in and stays put.

Not sure if you have ever needed to send in a Ruger, but they will take care of you. Good luck.

I don't know anything about the sticky holster, but I don't like any pocket holsters with an open bottom like the Nemesis. In my experience the gun works it way down into that open end and out the holster comes with the next draw.

While you may find it too thick for your liking, I haven't found any pocket holster to be better than those handmade by Robert Mika. I have both square and round cut for my j-frames and one for a G26.. My wife also uses one of his holsters to keep her SR9c positioned correctly in her purse. https://mikaspocketholsters.com/

I tried out 4 pocket holsters that I have for my KelTec P3AT. The DeSantis "The Trickster" and the Blackhawk Inside Pocket No. 03 both worked as they should; pistol was drawn cleanly and the holster stayed in the pocket. Both are ambidextrous (the DeSantis is leather while the Blackhwk is a nylon laminate), and both are a squared-off pouch-like design. The holsters also held the gun just enough; not too loose but not too tight either.

The other two, a Don Hume Front Pocket No.80 and a Concealment Concepts Holster "The Jaguar", were more of the tail hook design where the tail hook portion holds the holster in place against the seam of the pocket. This worked most of the time but both holsters held the gun very tightly (almost too tight), and I had to make a conscious effort to pull the gun and holster to the back of the pocket in order to get the hook to hold the holster in place. If I did this, the holster stayed; if not the holster came out when the gun was drawn.

Hope this helps.

I've ordered a Vedder Pocket Locker, Alabama pocket holster, and PJ pocket holster. All three are kydex. As I get a chance to test them I will report back in case anyone else is interested in these.

The Alabama has an eight week wait time but the Vedder and PJ should arrive in under two weeks.

I've been pleased with the Nemesis for my LCP. It's held up well over the past two years, usually got only a year and a few months from the Uncle Mike's.

If i had bigger pockets I might use some thing else, but the Nemesis works in my Wranglers and has never came out with the gun.

Both PJ holsters and Vedder Holsters have been great to deal with. They both responded to questions within 3 days and I received finished products within 8 days of purchase.

Each pocket holster has it's own favorable feature that I like, so given different situations I will use each.

The Vedder has more retention and a sweat shield on both sides. The gun clicks into place like a standard Kydex holster. It'll be great for yard work and gardening with its superior retention and sweat shield to protect against sweat. I've managed to sweat on a pocket gun plenty of times.

The PJ should conceal a bit better as it has a flat profile on the outer side. The retention is less than the Vedder but enough to hold the pistol snug even upside down. The slightly less retention should help ensure a clean draw and for everyday carry I prefer the level of retention it offers.

Both holsters stay put on the draw in the pockets I've tested them in, and both come with a thumb push off area to break the retention should you find that they don't stay put in a particularly cavernous pocket. I'm happy with both.

If I should experience any issues or have any further insights I will post them in this thread. The Alabama Holster is still 6 or 7 weeks out but I'll report on it as well.

The PJ is on the top and the Vedder is on the bottom in each photo.

I use a DeSantis Cargo Nemesis for my DB9, it has an extra mag holder which helps to retain the holster in-pocket:

I also like the DeSantis Superfly (which I use for outer jacket pockets - mostly in winter) It has a really sticky surface that helps retain the holster in-pocket it can be had with a print-obscuring flap.
