i just watched a video on you tube and the guys lcr did not have the upper screw to hold it together, also the cylinder screw stuck out past the frame and not flush like others i have seen. do ya'll know when ruger changed them?, my 9mm was made in december 2015 and has the upper screw and my cylinder screw is flush. his was the snub not the 3 inch and his was the 22lr model. thanks

I dunno. I'll have to check my 9mm when I get home. I'll also have to cross reference the manufacture date. I bought my 9mm at Academy on clearance. Who knows how long they had it under the glass.

The 22LR and 22WMR models don't have the screw connecting the FCG "grip frame" to the cylinder frame, never have. The centerfire versions all have this screw, always have.

Not sure why his wasn't flush at the front, I'd assume he had it loose for the video and it simply stood proud, or he has a unique, individual firearm with that attribute, as no LCR I've ever seen has not been flush.

found out that that was the longer screw that put the laser on, the guy removed the laser so now the screw sticks out. he said he called ruger for a screw but they said they couldn't send a regular screw he would have to send the gun in. thanks
