I voted “I developed a hand load just in case and I’m ready” although I did so without this specific “ban” in mind. I’ve posted before that I think lead ammo will be banned for hunting in NY state eventually (within the next decade). CA has already done it an NY DEC is encouraging hunters to switch. Now the feds are making moves. So I have begun finding loads that work I’m my hunting rifles. I have a very accurate load with 150gr TTSX In my .300WM and the factory Barnes Vor-Tx with 100 gr TTSX is fantastic in the .25-06.
I would encourage all hunters to find at least one hinting load with non-lead that works in at least one of their rifles. Doesn’t matter whether these regs are really motivated by concern for the environment or stealth firearm regulation. The lefties that push this are relentless. Why wouldn’t you be prepared even as you work to oppose the regulations?
