Hi all very new to reloading and casting. Have everything I need to start but load data for the lee 175 gr TC boolit mold. I would like to use titegroup and also purchased one pound of long shot. Any info advice is great! Thanks

You don't give the caliber but from your alias, I assume it is .40 S&W.
I don't load for it and can't spoon feed you a recipe. But there are a lot of them in the books and Hodgdon www.
If you start at the starting load, you don't have to have a load dedicated to the 175 gr Lee, about any 170-180 gr lead load will do.

Yes .40 s&w big piece of the puzzle was left out... So starting at a 170-180 gr start load would be safe and a good way to start?

IMO Longshot is too slow for this bullet. And Tightgroup too hot. They will both work, but I would think you could do better.

Never tried the powders you mentioned - as previously stated, they're not really ideal for this application. The Lee TL401-175 over 6.0-6.4gr Alliant Power Pistol works well enough for me that I haven't really done any comparison with others yet. They say it was designed for high pressure rounds like the 9mm & .40...

From Alliant's website:
"Designed for high performance in semi-automatic pistols and is the powder of choice for 9mm, .40 S&W and .357 SIG.

Fast burning and consistent
Economical and accurate"

Faster powders like Bullseye could be even more economical due to smaller powder charges, but could allow a moment of inattention to result in a double-charged case, which will definitely ruin a range day! The slower/bulkier powders will give you better case fill & a double charge will usually overflow the case, giving you a little extra insurance....

.40 S&W Leadoads for a Glock 22

I load a 175gn lead bullet SWC from a lee tumble lube mold. I use exclusively Accurate #2 for all my hand gun loads. The bullets chamber and feed fine but when I had shot only about 8 rounds through my Glock 22 and the same amount through my Ruger KSR40, both had a burst case and blew out the magazine from the guns. The Ruger blew out the floorplate from the mag and the glock dumped the mag and broke the extractor. The cases that did not rupture were swollen at the base near the feed ramp and the recoil was harsh. The load was the starting load with accurate #2 for the cartridge and it was obviously too hot. I dropped the load from the recommended 4.8 gn start load to 4.0gn and got good recoil, not harsh, fully functional feeding and accuracy. I can only assume an error in the suggested start load for the bullet was to blame.
I am currently shooting 100 rounds of lead-reloaded ammo through each weapon before cleaning the barrel to free it of lead build up and following each session I fire one round of jacketed ammo through each weapon to help strip out any lead buildup before cleaning the barrel.
