Least favorite to clean?

I used to dread cleaning wheelguns until I found out how well a bore mop and simple green will get the crud out.

Other than that I hate it when I have to completely dissassemble my Rossi 92 levergun. Fortunately that's (at most) a once a year proposition!

Ruger MK III Bull barrel.

Not so bad to get apart but a bitch to get back together. :)

My least fave to clean is the SpringField XD .45...lots of residue. Most easy and fav to clean is my Bersa Thunder .380..very simple with ease.

Real_name, the P2000 is comparable to most modern handguns. For me it takes not longer than a Glock, USP, SIG, or Beretta.

Most PITA to clean is P7 M8 for me. Easy to strip and reassemble, but it took me three episodes of COPS to make a dent in all the crud that built up. I'm not a fan of cleaning M-16s and M-4s anymore either, too much time spent doing it in the military (although I discovered along the way that dental tools can be a huge help).

Least favorite to clean is my FN Hi Power in .40S&W.The super stiff recoil spring is almost impossible and time consuming to get back into position.:scrutiny: :banghead:

Thanks psyopspec.
I assumed HK wouldn't make something that was troublesome, I am now one more mental step closer to getting my HK P2000SK.

Has to be my Star Megastar. It takes about 4 hands to disassemble and six to reassemble.:banghead: Nice shooter though.

Another vote for the MkII. I got mine at the ripe old age of 12, in 1984. I've had it apart exactly twice. PITA both times.

Sorry, both my High Standard and my cz 52 are both a cinch to strip. Really ticks off my roommate with his Mk III 22/45!

Anyone have problems ever with a HK P2000SK or a Sig P239?
Those are on my list for next purchase and I don't want to get a gun with a tiresome takedown.
I can speak to the P239. Of all the guns I own, this one is probably the easiest to take down and clean of any.

I have a Buckmark that I have not stipped down for cleaning. I'm afraid I won't be able to get it back together.

However, I have zero problems with my FLGR 1911.

My vote is for the Walther G22 Bullpup. You have to have someone hold the bolt open so you can run a brush through the barrel.

There are also 2 tiny springs that go flying on disassembly. Even when I am expecting it, they still can escape.

Great shooter though, and way more tacticool than a 10/22.

COLT S80

My Colt S80 .45 It's tight and a pain to field strip, clean and reassemble compared to my SIG. In fairness, I wasnt brought up on a 1911 so its a new learning step(s) for me.

Even though I really like my SIG 220 EQ., I really like this Colt S80 (shoots well) and I think I could deal with the Cock/locked carry if I choose too. I also like my BHP alot but, its a 1975 and I'm not comfortable with carrying it yet in a Cocked/locked condition. Sorry, went off topic...:banghead:

Guns are hard to clean?

i used to hate claeing my P22. Come to think of it, some of my 1911 are a PITA to work with at times. Yeah, that recoil spring on the Hi-Power is strong. But heh, what do I care? I load ammo, my wife cleans the guns. :p

I'll third the P22. It takes three hands to get that danged thing back together. And I have to wash my hands to get all the grease off before I can grip the recoil spring guide to get it back in there.
