I am thinking about getting one of these to compliment my Lyman T-Mag turret press and the good ole rockchucker. I would appreciate any and all thoughts that might sway me. Thanks

Not having one myself, I have seen dozens of videos on facistbook and read lots of posts about it and the overwhelming responses are positive. I have seen the same on a few gun forums and if I had a need for one I’d get it with no hesitation.

Lee APP is the best $100 I've ever spent. I use it to deprime everything. No more primer gunk in my Dillon. Get the 4 tube case feeder and you can blow through 800-1000 pistol brass an hour. I also use mine for resizing cast boolits. Fast as you can pull the handle. I laughed when I opened it, but not after setting it up. Little dude is money for me.

Ditto me on depriming being a wet-tumbled bling lover.... But I also like it for swaging..... That is one handy tool for less than $100 for the main press at Titan Reloading. Titan has just made and now sells a 3D printed 6 tube feeder. Had I not 3D printed pistol and rifle case and bullet collators already, I'd buy one of those for sure. Six magazines! Comes with the tubes as well. Boolit casters love it for quick tube-fed bullet sizing too.

. .. .223/556 the brass can sling shot now and then.

Thankfully the tool is easy to mod and improve. Mine no longer throws cases across the room. ;) TylerR over at CastBoolits has 3d print files for the APP that are sweet.

What about resizing 9mm? I like to resize and deprime in one operation? i would tumble clean first and a light spray on lube.
I resize and deprime on my APP with a Dillon resizing die. Before tumbling I also lube them lightly before doing so It’s actually a lot easier. I think the powder residue helps with the lube.

I use my primarily for just that purpose. As I don’t have a universal decapper and the centering tool recommended by Lee, I just use a older 9mm size die. The 550 completes the resizing after the wet tumbling.

Don’t read any comment about it….. JUST GET ONE!

BEST THING SINCE SLICE WHITE BREAD.

Bit make sure you can return it. incase you get a sticky carrier.

Yes, I have one and I LOVE it!

You will not look back. Graf's has these at 87.xx. LEE APP and LEE ACP

what fixed it? I still get the occasional flick/fling when it gets too dirty/binds

The following video shows how I modified mine to feed both .223 and .308 minus the problems....
Two things....1. the downtubes to just above the shuttle top. 2. Sanding off the stupid bevel on top of the shuttle, by sanding with a sandpaper covered dowel until the bevel is gone.....the bevel tilts the cases...then they sometimes fly off.

Did it work? See for yourself. Video below is just feeding no depriming.

Last video shows the actual depriming....obviously slower than just feeding, but still way faster than any other method.

(Notice the sanding marks from the doweled sandpaper in the last video frame.)

The downtubes for .223 and .308 with quick and dirty cutouts so the case tops don't hang up. I used aluminum duct tape around the smaller tube to make it fit tighter....the .308 tube was fine and didn't need anything.

I use my APP to deprime 45 Auto, and nothing else. Works really well for that. I might use it to de-primer other cartridges, if not for the change-overs. The smaller runs I would do on other cartridges don't justify the time and adjustments needed for change-overs.

You can size with the APP, but I don't because of it's small size and somewhat low leverage. I also wouldn't size with the auto feed-thru type shellholders. I prefer to size with standard style shellholders, which would eliminate the benefit of auto feeding.

I've been wanting one side there first announced them, some day I'll pick one up.

Anyone using the roller handle or the aftermarket ones, are they worth the money.

THANK YOU! Made the 308 downtube this evening. Will pick up the correct bolt/hardware tomorrow and put this to work ASAP!

Upgrade completed.

This is a MUST do. No more cases landing, not landing, or springing off to never land.

WOW!!!!!

Glad to hear it works for you. It also makes changing rifle calibers much easier than stock. I also found that the long splicing nuts easier to find, loosen, and remove under the bench. The regular nut drove me crazy.

Others have accomplished the same thing with 3d printed parts....I haven't tried that yet.

Interesting. I saw it in the latest Lee catalogue and thought 'Geez, they are re-inventing their small press line to get folks to spend more money', but after watching the videos it appears to save time.
Only issue I can see is you have to clean and lube cases, deprime and size, then clean cases again (to get the primer pocket clean)...unless y'all are running them dirty. Presently, I hand deprime and clean, then lube and resize...but my little Frankford Arsenal hand deprimer is getting a real workout.
