It finally broke on me, after 12 years of use and probably around 60,000 rounds loaded. This was a good excuse to upgrade to the Lee Classic Turret, which I did.

Second picture is the new classic turret all mounted up and running.

Bet you appreciate the improvement in spent primer handling. Just be forewarned if you have any chewy pups around, might find the red cap missing. Ask me why I mention this.

Yep, they'll probably replace the broken parts. Then you'll have 2 presses!

LCT is a great press. Enjoy!

You're going to love the classic.
I do mine been happy with it , seems well built for what it cost and I like the auto advance I also added the auto drum powder measure , you may want to add that to your press works great

Probably 30000+ round thru my "Deluxe" turret and it's still cranking away.
I would open a ticket with Lee and see if they will replace the parts, or offer you something. Lee customer service has been good to me on other items. (no press parts issue yet)
Congrats on the shiny new press.

I would highly recommend that you take a look at the Ergo Handle and the Case Auto Eject system from Inline Fabrication, they make the Classic Turret both more comfortable to use and faster. Also take a look at their Ultra Mount. Loading at eye level is underated

Congrats on the new press.
You do know you don't have to break your old one to get a new one!!!!!
Or did you to get past the better half? ;-)

Seriously how did you break it? Looking at the pic I'm trying to figure out how that failed, granted I just woke and am 1/2 awake still but I'm dombfounded on how it failed.

My LCT does all my bulk work, at 200 9mm an hour or 150 .223/556 an hour (taking my time) who needs a fussy, expensive, hard to change out progressive!

And I would exercise that great LEE warranty on the old press, bet they make it right for you!

This pic shows an LCT fully equipped.

Likely the same reason all the little white plastic caps on several "spring" door stops are missing...

One of the arms, that connects to the ram, on my old press, literally sheared off. It happened all of a sudden, the ram just dropped, lol. Its stamped steel. The LCT is cast iron.

Per Lee's website, they want 1/2 the retail cost + shipping to repair or replace. I got my money's worth out it, 10x over. I just tossed it.

Glad you got your money's worth. Bummer on them not fixing it.
Bummer on trashing it. I wonder if someone could have welded it back together. I guess the frugal engineer in me is always wondering what can be done.

In any case you'll love the Turret Press, it's really nice and it speeds things up when you get a few extra turrets and simply pull them out when changing calibers!

We don't shoot near as much as we once did.
the Dillons are dusty
About 20,000 rds thru the classic
It is not fast but these days I am in no rush
Great machine
Just sell me those dillons, Ill park them next to my LEE's and my old Lyman and put them to work! ;)

I'm sure Lee figured out the life expectancy of their parts when they decided where to draw the line for free repair.

Even Dillon has a life expectancy for their presses. I was once told that the Square Deal was expected to last 65k rounds...anything beyond that is a bonus

I love my lee classic turret. Best reloading purchase I ever made along with an electronic powder dispenser and an auto drum measure.
