I own a Les Baer PII. It really is beautiful and so very accurate but it's more of a target gun verses a carry piece. I have tired to trade it for a Les Baer Stinger (basicallly because its a carry handgun and its close in price for something in similiar shape)...No luck with that. My other thought was to convert the sights to fixed and carry but I called Baer they said I would need a new slide...nix that idea. I could sell it but I am not willing to take a bath (have been known to do so). If cash were no object I guess I wouldn't have this concern. I probably will just keep it and maybe down the road reconsider what I want.....I just thought I would ask around for idea's.

Regards,
Bill

I would consider pcf's suggestion (I finally found it on option 120 in the "sight work" page, click and it shows a picture).

You could always use it as an excuse to pick up a TRS...

Or you could just carry it. I carried my Les Baer PII for years with nary a problem. The adjustable sights are pretty sturdy, and I really don't see why people worry about them on carry guns. Sure fixed sights are sturdier, but the adjustable ones, provided they are a good design (and the Bo Mar type ones are), are sturdy enough. People carried S&W revolvers like the M27 and M28 for years, with adjustable sights, and nobody ever seems to have worried about or had any particular problems with them. Unless you make it a point to drop the gun on a hard surface from time to time, I don't think it's something you need be overly concerned about.

Maybe a dehorning, including the rear sight?

Then refinished in Baer Coat. Drop the FLGR and buffer, add a thin strong side only safety.

I'm in week 10 of the 8 to 12 week wait on a PII. It's not getting any easier.

My two PIIs are getting an IonBond treatment this winter. I don't carry them often, I have a S&W1911PD Commander with CT grips that I use for that. My sights get tested pretty well on gaming, and I haven't noticed any troubles.

Plus One on what Billy Shears said have carried mine for almost 2 years with no problems.

Would have to change out front sight if I decided to go with the Harrison Design& consulting rear combat sight. If I did decided to go with the that rear sight and decided to change front to fiber optic or tritium what height blade would one use??
