Great, gotta follow an 03A3? Oh well, here goes....my custom-built FN Mauser .280 w/stainless Douglas bbl is better than your 03A3 because it will print .80-inch groups at 200 (yes, I said 200) yards with factory Win BST's. And b/c I found it at a pawn shop for $415. But man, do I ever want an 03A3!!!
ps----want one of those Dan Wesson Razorbacks too, with some red & white razorback logo grips....how sweet would that be for a Hog fan?

Edit: dangit kd7, guess I type too slow. Well my .280 beats your M&P too, cause it shoots farther & hits harder. Do like the adjustable grip panels on yours, tho.

Well... .80-inch groups at 200 yards is nigh unbelievable, and I'll give your rifle the benefit of the doubt.

But I can squirrel hunt with my Marlin 925 and still have some meat left.

Josh

P.S. Great thread.

I know, I know. I didn't believe it either when my buddy told me until I looked thru the spotting scope myself. Still didn't fully believe it until I was able to go downrange & actually touch the target. 3-shot group, less than one inch, 200 yards from the bench on solid sandbag rest. My buddy followed that up with a 2-inch group at the same distance from kneeling. Was actually more impressed with that than mine. Of course, I haven't been able to quite duplicate the sub-inch feat since. But it happened once, dangit, so I'm claiming it!:)

Sorry i got to say something about this now:

Did you read the directions to the game? This is just for fun, a way to banter about everyones guns. There is no winner. Stop posting about guns that you think will "win" this thread and start comparing guns you own with the others.

In the spirit of continuing the game:

I think my Taurus 85 Snub nose is better than the suburban mounted mini gun because i no how much ammo prices are inflated, gas prices are inflated even more:p.

His does make a for better blunt force trauma attacks.

My Springfield Armory 1911A1 Black Combat Stainless is better than yours because it is much better lookin(one of the best looking guns, IMHO)

my dad has a taurus 85 and i lobe to shoot it, if i coud CCW i would carry a Taurus 85 its small and light

My High Standard 107 Supermatic Trophy .22 with a fluted 7.5" barrell is better than you 1911 because it's very blue, very accurate, and they don't make them like that anymore.

On the other hand, I like your 1911, because I can't shoot straight enough for it to matter much, and .45ACP is really fun.

-J.

Your High Standard 107 Supermatic Trophy .22 with a fluted 7.5" barrel is a sweet little .22 pistol. However, my S&W 1911SC beats it because it is a .45ACP (powerful enough for self-defense), concealable, and lightweight (scandium).

My Springfield Armory 1911 in black stainless is better than your S+W cuz we all know S+W should stick to revolvers. (Plus the custom grips match my tattoos)

However that scandium frame must be easy on the CCW

My remington 700 LTR is better because I can touch a bad guy at 1000yrds as opposed to across a convenience store. But I do like your gun because its a classic.

My Swiss K-31 is better than your Remington 700, because it's wartime rugged, and it's got the amazingly engineered straight pull bolt action. It's also scoped, uses a .308 bullet, and is dead accurate.

However, I really like your 700 LTR, because, well du'h, it's a 700 LTR! It's beautiful and accurate and an all around fabulous rifle, and I really like Remingtons to boot.
RT

I really like the accuracy of the Swiss K-31 and wouldn't mind owning one but I have a "Bubba" '98 mauser with a bishop stock that shoots pretty well and 8mm ammo is much easier to get and a lot less expensive. It is also lots easier to mount a scope on a mauser than on a K-31. Mine has a 3X9 Simmons cheapie.

My Bubba (I didn't do it!!!) Ty 38 Arisaka is better than your bubba Mauser because it has a Leupold VXII on top. Plenty of brass too, so cheap to shoot now.

But, I must admit, a boatload of 10 million surplus rounds of my caliber will never come to the states. :(

My Freedom Arms Premier Grade 454 Magnum is better than your Arisaka because I can carry it any way I want to, nobody laughs at me when I pull it out of the truck, and my son and I bought it together when he was 2-yrs-old (he's 22 now)! And it puts a GREAT BIG HOLE in anything I choose to shoot with it. (4 bears to its credit) Nice scope on the Arisaka, though!

Great Thread. I'll play.

I pay serious homage to the Freedom Arms Premier Grade 454 Magnum but I prefer to keep all my teeth INSIDE my head. But I like it because it can kill anything on the planet-- even if you miss, the shock wave will kill it.

I prefer my converted Saiga 308 because... well, not only has it proven an accurate rifle and put meat on the table, but it is pretty much the quinessential EVIL black rifle-- and still in a full-sized cartridge.

I like your saiga as it is a sweet looking rifle and I spent last weekend shooting EBRs and had an awesome time doing it, and I certainly appreciated the skill set riflemen have.

However, my S&W Model 41 beats yours as it is about as accurate as they come and I can shoot all day and still spend pennies to your dollars. On top of that, yours is a foreign import but mine was made here in the good ol' US of A,and in the Great State of Maine to boot!

alright, I'm in. my Walther P99 is better than your Model 41 because i can conceal it about my person, and I find the adjustable ergonomics make it easer to teach new shooters. However, props to American steel.

sorry enfield

My Glock 17 is better than your p-99 becauseI have fallen into the fishing pond while wearing it, dropped it, carried it concealed for 7 years, holstered it to the piont where the finish is a joke, and yet it has no rust. It is dead nuts on accuracy wise, 6,000 rounds through it with no malfunctions whatsoever.

I like your p99 because of the ergonomics, and that it has such a loyal following. It must be a pretty good pistol.
