I think SIG discontinued the GSG made 1911-22 sometime back in 2015/2016, along with the SIG Mosquito, also a GSG product.
ATI (American Tactical), currently carries several models of the 1911-22 with a retail price of $369.

This would not surprise me. Not after how Umarex bought up a bunch of the small manufacturers, which included GSG (from memory). Does not mean I can't want one--only that I may not be able to get one. Such is life, or as notre amies francais, c'est la vie.

I recently had the opportunity to compare a new GSG to a new Colt 1911-22.
Believe it or not, I wouldn't even consider buying the Colt over the GSG.
The GSG was better in every way. Tighter, better trigger, better finish. All the way around. I was not able to shoot them, but I would bet the GSG would be better there too.

I have this vague memory that the "Colt" labeled 1911--22 is a Umarex-Walther--but, I could be wrong.
Now that Colt is Colt-CZ, we may see more such hybrids.

The only "1911" I own with a rail. Personally, don't like rails on 1911s, but at the time ( 2011 ), this was all I could find. My GSG/ATI 22LR.

Two days and no new posts. Keeping the thread alive. Picked up some ironwood grips for officer sized 1911s. Put them on my STI Escort. Not so sure I like them. Might move them to the Elektra and see how they look.

My Colt Wiley Clapp government. A pure joy to shoot. Of my three 1911's the most accurate. It has 27K rounds through it now.

This morning it was a bit damp. Returning from the end of the range here is what I found ... this little guy seems to enjoy 1911 a little to much for its own good
I let him go on a nice grass field.
(Ruger SR1911 repost, now counting 250 rounds without hiccup, it shoots high with S&B 230gr I have to try other ammunitions before making any adjustments)
