My first 1911!!

I'm so excited!! I will be picking up my new Taurus PT1911 tomorrow. I promised myself not to buy another gun till sometime June to get rid of some of the credit card debt I placed on purcahsing so many guns late last year.

I will be trading in my Remington 870 20 guage shotgun and my Mosin Nagant 91/30 with all accessories for it. My wife will also give me $200 for my upcoming birthday.

I chose the Taurus over the other expensive 1911's out there. I actually have a thing for Taurus...pls. don't start snickering. I have my regular carry Taurus Model 85 snubbie and Taurus PT145. I have read excellent reviews on the PT1911.

I will add this 1911 to my 3rd collection of 45's - Sig P220 and Taurus PT145.

I'll add to the general consensus. I have a taurus 1911 and a 709 slim and I really like them both. I love to shoot the 1911 and I have even carried it occasianally but I really like the 709. It disapears and is comfortable to carry even with the POS IWB holster I use untill I find a good one.
