Ahh man, a really beautiful rifle there. It just reeks of tac driver!

Edited to Add: I was referring to doubleA's pic, but I now see more beauties down the page.

This isn't a very good picture, but it's my latest build, a Howa Model 1500 Action with a Krieger 25.5 inch stainless barrel and a Leupold 3-9x40 Vari X II in Redfield style mounts. It's not a tac driver in the sense that some of these rifles here are, but it's a hunting rifle and it is capable of 1/2 MOA If and when I do my part.

This is my babay, sorry about the stock photo, my backup HD for images is currently down. Anschutz 64 MPR in .22LR:

Uterly gracefull!

lasershot, I want that .22!

I went out yesterday, here is a (for me) WAY above average 600 yd group.

I do all my shooting from a bipod with my hand as back rest. It's four shots on a 12" plate, overall .7 moa, but without the one on the right about .2. I think that just shows what the rifle and load can do when the wind cooperates.

again, those three shots are way above my average at that distance (the whole group is about average), but you have to save the good ones for a thread like this right?

dubble, what kind of rifle in the top pic (scoped with Swaro)? stock?
Looks like a CZ 527-Varmint with a factory Kevlar stock. Just going off the rounds in the background, i'd call it a .204Ruger (though I may be incorrect on that note).

:)

Thanks Geno! You know what they say: once you go steel, you never go back.

thank you sir. I actually bought that online (thanks to the glory of flat rate shipping) for $45. Not a chip in it in about 100 rounds. That and two cans of spray paint was a good investment over paper, not to mention the fun.

Addicting.

Some really great shooters in this thread with some really fine rifles, let's see some more!

So I bought another 308 win Saturday, making it my 5th one. Have a bud that has the same rifle and wants to get into F class shooting. I figured I could help with giving him a little friendly competition with an exact duplicate. The rifle is a Sabbage M12 F/TR 308 Win. Has a straight 1" dia 1:12 twist 30 inch barrel. I worked up a quick load yesterday driving 168 SMK at just over 2800fps. This load took 13.25 moa elevation at 600 yards. The weather wasnt good at all, the visability was poor due to the rain but easily managed sub moa 5 shot groups at that distance. Shot prone off Harris bipod it didnt track that well and I will soon be getting a Sinclair F class bipod as it does alot better.

Ruger 77, 308, Ciener can...shoots sub-moa both with sub sonic 220 grain SMK as well as with super sonic match loads without the can. And it is very quiet to boot...

ruger771.jpg

without the can it looks like any other heavy barrel Ruger...nice for hunting coyotes...

dubbleA, whenever I post anything, regardless of what it is, go ahead and add at the bottom of it "and I'm jealous of dubbleA's awesome collection"

very nice everybody.

brandon_mcg: how do you like that triangle barrel? looks neat. 3.5lbs is about a pound and a half heavier than I can for. looks real nice though

kis,

i'm kind of indifferent about the triangulated barrel. some people argue that the reduction in material to make the barrel triangulated adversely effects the accuracy. i havent noticed this versus other 700 models with the round barrel.

the thing that caught my eye was the muzzle break. but guess what, it doesnt help in my opinion (there is no way for me to accurately measure felt recoil).

i left the trigger on the heavy side during deer season just in case, but now i would like to set it around 2 pounds or so for plinking.
