Let's see your tackdriver!

Best tack driver I have ever had was a Savage MkII 17 HMR. SCARY SCARY accurate with 17gr TNT HPs. The 5 shot groups looked like one smooth hole until you looked REALLY close!! There simply is not a more accurate rifle anywhere at 100 yards. I lost the targets a while back but I have a witness that I shot these groups several times. Drive tacks? I can beat that, I can shave the edges off of them  Note it would not hit the broadside of barn with poly tip bullets :scrutiny:

This 223AI is almost finished, accuracy wise the jury is still out as I have'nt fired it but with a little luck maybe it will shoot.:D I still have the Cerakote to do.
Took a quick pic of it today.

LaRue OBR 5.56mm 18" barrel 1:8 twist wylde chamber
Weaver Tactical Grand Slam 3-10x40 mil/mil
Shoots 5 shot groups under 0.5" repeatably

This was the first target I ever shot with it, and it included some sight in shots (the 4 single holes high center) and a couple ten shot groups.

Some nice rifles & good eyes in this thread!

My bargain approach to this -
Savage 10FP .308 - w/ Bell & Carlson Medalist Tactical/Varmint stock. Ken Farrell 15MOA mount, Warne Maxima QD rings, & Barska 8-32x44SFIR Tactical/SWAT scope.
She'll shoot MOA - I'm good with that.

My groundsquirrel gun -
CZ452 Varmint .17HMR - w/ Warne rings & Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40SF TD reticle. A total blast to shoot, no recoil & she'll shoot the eye out of a squirrel at 100 yds.!

For bolt actions, here is my Howa 1500 .308 in a B&C stock with Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x50 mildot and TacOps bolt knob and cheek pad. Burris XTR rings and EGW 20MOA rail.

And a borrowed scope

nice rifles guys,

that left e-port with the right bolt boggles my mind RW! where are you going to end up on a scope with that? match the stainless look?

Easier to load that way...[strike]if[/strike] when I build a benchrest rifle I will do the same. BTW, it probably isn't an "e-port" as I doubt there is an ejector (superfluous on a bench gun).

:)

These are always fun threads. I don't know about tack-driver, because I punch varmint-type critters and steel. But here is my current favorite:

M700 Police .308 Win
B&C Adjustable Tactical Stock
Timney 4 ounce tactical trigger
Ferrel 20 MOA G-Force rail
Leupold Mark 4, 30 mm Rings
Nightforce 12-42X56 benchrest scope

This rig is grouping 0.75" at 300 yards. That's close enough to driving tacks.

Mine is a Weatherby Vangard sub moa. It's killed 5 birds at 363 yards. It really likes my RL-15, Nos. ballistic tip reloads. I can't get the pics because the cats ate my targets! Not only that but I don't know how to post pics! Sorry.
