I've attempted to contact the Leupold Custom Shop through emails and phone messages with no luck, they haven't responded to either.

I recently bought a VX-2 1-4x20 and am interested in having the duplex reticle swapped out for the German #4.

Just wondering if anyone has had a reticle swap done and could give me an idea of cost and how long it took to receive the scope back.

Thanks.

I realize this should have been posted in the Firearm Accessories forum. Mods, feel free to move.

Have you tried to contact Leupold ?

If not , I would try to contact someone with rank at Leupold and see what's going on with the custom shop since going straight for the custom shop isnt working ATM.

Jeff;

If you get no satisfaction from Leupold, try Premire Reticles. For quite some time they were Leupold's custom shop, before Loopy decided to take the business in house. From my experience with them, I'm not surprised with yours. I did get to talk to somebody who gave me to understand that wanting to put a mil-dot reticle in the Leupold scope I desired was going to take a long time, be expensive, and he was condescending.

I had a varmint reticle installed replacing a duplex on a VXiii. If I remember right, it took a couple of weeks and ran $150-$180. They did not respond well to emails or calls when I tried to get an update. I sent the scope to the address online with a note for what I wanted. A week or so later, they called with a price. Any attempts at updates went unanswered, but the scope showed up after 2-3 weeks, and I am happy with the work.

my experience was initially no response, then later they said they wouldn't work on the model of leupold i had.

Thanks for the feedback. To be honest, the duplex reticle is growing on me and I'll probably just keep it. I thought the German #4 would be better on my 1-4 power scope for quicker shots but after shooting it with the duplex reticle, I think it will be just fine.
