I am gunna have about 5 hours to kill while my boy is taking testing at a college in Lima. Can you recomend a good gun store or two to vist.

The one Gun shop just closed up in Lima, couldnt get supplied.

Tipp city has a nice one Old english outfitters (about 1.5 hrs south of lima on 75) Has an excellent selection of firearms, usually has ammo at a decent price, plenty of things to browse around and look at.... but it is a good drive from Lima.

Besides the box stores like Dunham's and MC Sports there's only a couple left. One is Defensive Resources 3590 1/2 Harding Hwy. There's another in a guys basement but he doesn't stock much, he does mostly orders but I don't recall the address.

Findlay Ohio has a couple of good ones but it's 30 miles north on I-75.
TNT Firearms. Also Ottawa Ordnance.

+1 on Findlay... Jaqua's, and Buffalo Trading. Jaqua's is very top end mostly shotguns, some pistols. Buffalo is a lot of other, "regular" grade firearms.

There are a few nearby. Try Ottawa or Findlay to the north. I think there is one in Celina to the southwest.

Google "gun shop" and each of those towns and you can find each of their websites. All are about a 30 minute drive from Lima.

Many years ago When I was 14.I bought my 1st pistol their . Was a single shot Colt 22short denniger. My mother went with me and just watched . This before 1968 gun control. I had a 22 rifle and use to buy ammo their every sat morning on way out of town on my bike to shoot. I carried the rifle in a soft case across the handel bars .
Findlay was a nice little town then.

Michael T...I wish I could have been part of that "back then"... I think all places were a lot better then, I know just since I can remember the early-mid 80's things were much better then...

Another recommendation for Buffalo Trading in Findlay. I've bought a couple guns there and would have bought more had I not moved to the wonderfulness that is Tennessee.
