I'm still shootin' the old has been calibers. Well except for .40. I shoot it some, but could live without it.
 
Let's see:

.357 Magnum -- 1934 or thereabouts.
.45 Auto -- 1904 or thereabouts
.38 Special -- 1898 or thereabouts.
.22 Long Rifle -- 1888 or thereabouts
.45 Colt -- 1873 or thereabouts.
 
I have a couple.

I really like the 9x23 Winchester. It enables me to have 357 Magnum ballistics in a 8+1 capacity autoloader, with less recoil and less muzzle blast. You also get faster reloads.
Second will be the 460 Rowland. Same as above but with 44 Magnum ballistics vs the 357 of the 9x23.
Third would have to be the 10mm, that gives 41 Magnum ballistics in an autoloader.
JMHO, YMMV.
 
.40 S&W, for sure.

It's not a handgun cartridge, but 6.5 Grendel is really the only other "new" one I like.
