Whether you'd like to stick with production "handgun cartridges" is a moot point. It is a handgun, that fires cartridges, unlike the Walker.

I'd say some of the JDJ/SSK rounds make the the .500 look like a popgun also, and those are cartridges "made for handguns."

There is only one thing, in this thread, that I am sure of.

Whoever dubbed that music over that video needs to be kicked in the nads a few times. With feeling.

The gnarliest recoil I have ever experienced is 454 Casull. 500 SW Mag seems tame in comparison. Close second would be T/C contender chambered in 30-30.

What about the 480 Ruger in 2003?

That was designed as sort of a .475 Linebaugh Special. It has a shorter case and is less powerful and more enjoyable (?!?!) to shoot than the Linebaugh round.

It still throws a hunk of lead with some serious intensity though.
