I will try too field both questions kind'a quickly, as I'm 'bout to be late for
work~!
First, YES we do ship firearms to other areas of the country. Keep in mind
that all firearms must go from one FFL too another FFL; so in order to do
that I need a signed (ink) copy of the receiving dealers FFL. Handguns
must be shipped FED EX overnight, or next day air. Reason being too
many have been stolen off docks sitting in truck terminals. I think its
about a $50 additional charge on handguns; but I'm not totally positive
about that?
As to the Taurus 1911 its-self~! Keep in mind that I haven't shot one yet,
But, its definitely one of the best look'in firearms too roll off the assembly
line in Brazil. Thing's I don't care for are the very visible lock located on
the hammer, and the Heinie "straight 8" sights. Otherwise, it appears to
be a very nice "entry level" 1911; and for the price ($449.88) I don't see
how you could go wrong. Personally, I like Springfield 1911's and would
give them "first shot"; if I were interested in acquiring another 1911. I
already own 2x G.I. models (one parkerized, one stainless), and a brand
new 5" Springer MIL SPEC.
