My wife has a Llama .380 Micromax. And beore you say it, I know, it's not a great gun. But she likes it and it was pretty cheap. The problem is that the recoil spring is pretty havey and she has a hard time loading it. I bought it used and I thought that the previous owner might have replaced the recoil spring with a non-stardard one. So, I bought a new spring from www.bersa-llama.com but the spring is still too heavy even after many boxes of ammo have gone through it. Does anyone know of a lighter spring that I could replace it with?

Thanks,

There's nothing wrong with a Llama, as long as it works. That's the only catch, as a larger percentage of Llama's out there don't. If you've got one that functions as it's suppose to, hang on to it and consider it a great value.

As for springs, that might be a tough one. Most aftermarket springs will no doubt be for the .45acp Llamas. If you can't find any help here or by doing a search on Google, Dogpile, etc... you might have to take it to a trusted gunsmith and see what he can come up with. I'd imagine with a bit of modification of a spring from a different firearm, and the know-how to go along with it, a competent gunsmith can help you out.
