There seems to be alot of confusion about the Llama and Firestorm pistols.
I talked to a facory rep as I would like to know myself what is going on.
I was toid that Llama is gone (as you have probably read on this forum), they have been gone since 2005.
The Firestorm line of pistols were divided between 2 different factories. The single action Firestorm's were made by Llama, and they are gone also.
The double action Firestorm pistols are made at the Bersa factory, and are still being produced.
I have been confused on this issue as I have a Firestorm compact, and it is a single action and is no longer being made. It is a very good pistol.
Hope that this helps any confusion about these pistols.

I'll just toss in that I had lots of trouble also at first decyphering what was made where by who (whom?), and everything you posted is exactly as I eventually found out. As a side note, I too have one of the Firestorm SA's (thier 1911 clone to be exact) and couldnt be happier.Great gun. Also have a Llama Max-I (basically the same gun, only full size and 1 or 2 minor internal differences) and it's been a great gun too. For any interseted since Llama is gone, parts (for the 2 I mention at least for sure) can be found at Numrich's if any are needed.

Excellent points....To be honest, the price for some of these Spanish pistols were so low (mint condition anywhere from $200 to $275 range) a few years back was hard not to give it a try....The Llama bashers amuse & benefit me since it keeps driving the price down on the open market..
I recently sold a Llama .45 through a newspaper ad and received a 75% return...Buyer & seller were both happy....:)
Thanks for clarifying the Firestorm situation.
