I bought a Minmax 45 from a buddy that is having money problems for 200.
Duz anyone out there have experiance with these arms ? I would like to know
something about what I bought, good or bad. I don't know anything about Llama to speak of. Just helping a friend. thanks

Jim:)

Company closed its doors for good during summer. Not the best pistol made but will work. If depeneable you lucky many need a little polishing of feed ramp then they work I have subcompact Llama and after lots of tinkering my is now 100% reliable. Go shoot it and enjoy If does,t feed ,polish feed ramp and try again. You can still get parts from inported if needed.

Llama is not closed, it merged with Bersa. http://www.bersa-llama.com/
They are actually releasing a new gun soon, pretty good for a company that's "closed for good". Anyway, I own the full size and my father owns the mini. both shoot very well, and shoot anything we've tried thu it. My only complaint is that it doesn't accept most 1911 grips, the screws are placed further apart.

I like the size of the mini max. I did look at one on sale at a local retailer for $250 new in box but it seemed really rough on the inside and I was afraid to buy it.
I'll be watching for your range report when you shoot yours.

Llama is closed It did not merge with Bersa that is imported web site. If you don't belive me call them. They still have Llama's in stock and will honor Warrenty work. They have parts for newer guns also. But Llama is no more. These are Same People who created the Firestorm line Buying from both Bersa and Llama. Then having their name put on. All of this has been discussed many times here and other Boards. You can come to http://bersatalk.com and find more info.Iam board mod and will be glad to help you out. Those of us with Bersa really don't like being associated with Llama as our pistols are of a higher class. Yes I also own a Llama but Bersa pistols are a better made weapon.
