Looking at 1911 style

I recently picked up a slightly-used DW PM7 for $725. It's my first 1911 - I traded my Ruger P90 in on it, and am very glad I did. After looking around, I, too, was stuck on Dan Wessons. I am extremely happy with it, and in no way regret passing up the similarly-priced Smiths, Colts, etc. Now I'm thinking about saving for a DW CBOB.

I just bought a Springfield Armory 1911 operator with the half rail. I love it. I was in the market for anothe 1911 and I was not about to go with Kimber again after the last dog and pony show i went through with them. So far , the pistol has performed flawlessly( 200 rounds of reloads, both lead and copper). I dont recommend using the lead wadcutters though, the odd shaped nose of the bullet likes to hang up in the chamber upon initially charging the weapon. I also have owned a DW PM2 1911, and it was an excellent pistol. Good Luck!
