Looking at a Beretta ARX160 .22. Your thoughts?

Until today, I had no idea this gun existed. I've watched a couple reviews, read the Beretta website, etc. It appears that there's some confusion over whether or not it's actually made by Beretta. My main question is if it's possible to convert it to .223/5.56? Does it use the same lower as the ARX100 platform?
