Just got back from the gun store and I found a used Dan Wesson Pointman. Its in blue steel with plastic grips and has a few wear marks/scratches in the finish, nothing that would deter me from purchasing it. The thing that got me was that they want to sell it to me for $425 out the door. Is this a good price? I know the gunsmith there and all the guys who work in the shop and I know they wouldn't BS me; my family and I have been buying guns there for years. They are having their gunsmith look at it and he is going to call me with any concerns he may have about the pistol. But what do you guys thing of the price and all? Are Dan Wesson guns as good as what I've read online? This gun seems like it was taken good care of and the only concern I had was some gluey substance around the front and rear sights. They said they would have it all taken care of and then call me.

Let me know what you guys think of this, I may have to get this one.

Buy it.. the PM7S I had was the most accurate 1911 I've ever owned. It doesn't matter if it's a PM1 or PM7 or whatever, DW are very well built and with the price increase since CZ absorbed the DW line, that's a great price;)

They're holding it for me, but I need to come up with like $200 so I can pay for this without putting a dent in any savings, haha.

My lady doesn't need any excuses to yell, haha. So if I can get the gun and not use savings then she wont be as stirred about me getting another gun. Still waiting on the guys to call me back.
