I have and do hunt all over oregon and my meat gun has a bushnell 4200 4x16 on it and in all weather conditions it has been outstanding. My next one will be the 4200 2.5x10, my brother has this scope on 3 rifles and swears by it. If you hunt the coast range you will love the rain guard coating.

Lots of good info here. My late brother and I bought a Rossi Trifecta for my son when he was 10 (2012), and I am just now getting scope mounts for the 243 barrel and going to take him late-season hunting when he gets here for Christmas. It will be sporting a Leupold VXII 3-9x40mm my wife gave me that has been sitting in the box, with the Rossi mount, and weaver QD rings. We have both 85 and 100 gr bullets which are plenty for the small deer here. He has been a good shot over iron sights, will see how he does with a scope now.
