I've decided to make getting a .308 semi-auto a priority, and have more-or-less settled on the G3/HK91 pattern. I can't afford a genuine HK91 at this point in my life, and I've heard from others that the Century CETMEs and the Federal Arms FA91 copies are lacking, quality-wise.
How close is it to the original HK91? Are there any parts that will not interchange, or acessories that will not work with the PTR?
Is it true that the first few PTRs had some issues (I can't recall exactly what) that were fixed on later runs? Higher serial #s better?
Any aftermarket products I should be aware of, either must-haves or things to stay away from?
Any other makers of good-quality HK91 copies out there?
