try the 85 grain Sierra HPBT. Opinions???? I have not personally used them on deer yet but that identical load listed above is what I use for this bullet in my 6mm Rem. It has become my varmint\dual purpose gun. Jackets on these bullets are supposed to be stout but one always hears comflicting reports as to how Sierra classifies these - deer or varmint. Too many old timers swear by this bullet for deer for me to doubt them. I have taken many deer with 100 grain Hornady's.
