Looking for a carry pistol.

I'm thinking about picking up a dedicated carry pistol. As of right now I have my fullsize USP .40 most of the time, but I'm looking for something small. I've shot a friend's Glock 26, but I'm also looking at the Kahr MK9 or the HK P7PSP (I've never shot either one of those, but I've handled them both in the store). How is the trigger on the Kahr? Is it similar to a Glock, or is it a true DAO?

BTW-I don't like the way the Springfield XD's feel in my hand, so that's not an option for me.

What about the HK P2000SK in .40. Share the same ammo as your USP...

That's what I will be picking up for CCW in the near future.

Try the Glock 19, S&W M&P (regular and compact) as well.
I find the kahr trigger crappy.

i love the kahrs. the steel frames especially. i have a k40 and it is a sweet shooting, smooth triggered gu that is reliable and accurate. they are excellent for concealment and they carry well. you can't go wrong with the kahr k series

Never fired a Kahr, but I can't imagine it being much better than the short, single-action trigger of the P7PSP. I know I love mine

The trigger on the Kahr is smooth, and around 7 lbs maybe. It is one of the better double action triggers I have used. I chose a CW40 as my carry gun because of how slim it is. It is light, carries easily, shoots very good (I suck with DAO's but can get a 2-3 inch group at 10 yards). Best part, new they are only $370.

Speaking from experience:

I own a xd-9- service model. I agree that sometimes it is just to big to carry. So I got a Keltec PF-9. Not to smallest gun but I carry it in my front pocket or IWB. My PF-9 is not an everyday shooter, it is so light it will hurt (even with 9mm) and makes my hand red from firing. It is DAO and takes a while to get use to but I find it very comforting that I can have an everyday gun.

Not from everyday experience:

Granted, this is the autoloading forum but do not dismiss, probably the most carried gun in america - a snubby revolver. There are a lot of companies that make them, pick and choose per your budget but most importantly - your firing/feeling ability.
