I have bought 2 carry guns in the past year a taurus 85 and a Ruger LCP.I am now looking for a carry 9.
1 CZ Rami
2 Glock 26
3 XD-9 subcompact
I know they are all good guns.
Can anyone explain the rami selective DA and SA mode.

I have never shot any of the above guns but have shot the CZ p01 and 83,a glock 17 and a 4" XD of all the above I liked both CZ's.

Any recomendations for carry why one would be better than the other.

The RAMI ( W/out the decocker) can be carried either in conditon one or ( the way I carry) it can be manually decocked and carried DA. What I like the most about this set up is that I have the option as opposed to a SA only or a DAO or a Sa/ decocker ( no option for condition one carry).

Not on your list - I recently picked up an M&P compact in 9mm and it's fantastic. I went wanting the XDsc but when I held the two, I just didn't like the way the XD felt in my hands. The M&P felt way better to me.

On your list, my wife has a glock 26 and it's great- size wise, accuracy-wise. While I prefer my M&P, the Glock 26 wasn't far behind. I've put quite a few rounds through hers and it's a great little gun.

I'm always most concerned with size and weight, when assuming very dependable/tested reliability. My recommendation would be the Kahr MK9.

Oops...owlhoot woke me up...meant to say PM9...it is lighter...

I'm with you, Mongo. In my opinion the MK9 is the perfect sub carry gun. Perhaps a tad heavy, but I don't mind.

I have several pistols that I rotate for carry, the smallest being a PPK/.380.

I'm not terribly fond of the XDSC/9mm for carry in hot weather simply because it's so fat. Because of it's bulk, I don't personally consider it a "sub-compact".
Whenever I really want to travel light, I always seem to end up grabbing my Walther PPK.

But while I'm fine with a .380 for self-defense, I've been looking for a compact 9mm myself lately and took serious looks at the Kahr and Kel-tec which both fit my "compact" requirements.

But when push came to shove, I went with the Rohrbaugh R9S Stealth .

That's my .02, and I'm sticking to it. :)

MK9 nice gun PM9 even better, much liter and pocketable...

Go Kahr. they say they willbe shipping the P380 in november FOR SURE.

I carry the XDsc 9mm in any weather and with my tuckable holster I even carry it at my bank job. Very accurate for a 3in barrel, no problems with recoil, and very easy conceal. Keep in mind with different body types the bulk of the gun might be an issue. I myself am a bit bigger at around 6'1" and 230lbs so for me its not too hard to conceal.

I carry the xd9sc. Very accurate and reliable. No troubles concealing it in a D.M Bullard Dual Carry. I am planning on picking up a M&P9c this weekend and trying it out.

KHAR has problems
KEL TEC really has problems
M & P maybe
I need A gun I can trust.
I trust my revolver and my LCP and shoot them both well up to 15 yards for what they are.
I choose 3 very reliable pistols but I am leanibg to th CZ RAMI of the 3.
Glock has the most and cheapest aftermarket parts.
XD slide finish is ????????????????
I will probley go with a Rami (steal frame not poly)
I do like my P95 and my LCP,I have over 1000 flawless rounds thru my P95 and over 250 thru my LCP without any malfunction.
My P95 is my HD gun with 16 federal HST 124 gr.(they shoot good very accurate)
I carry my LCP with 102gr golden sabers.
My mod. 85 is loaded with 135 gr short barrel

Ive never had any problems with my Kahr CW9(1000 rounds so far). A member here, Jocko, has over 10,000 rounds through his, MK9 I believe, w/out any problems. Every gun manufacturer has a few lemons or a few pistols that need a little ironing out. Alot of people on the internet exaggerate their problems, if they have any, with that certain firearm. Then if people read their posts and tell others, it becomes "these guns always have problems". I own a taurus revolver, my buddy has their PT1911 and my friends dad has their PT92. They are all 100% reliable, but if you ask almost everybody on the internet, most responses will be "they are always garbage".

I bought the Kahr CW9 because it is a true CCW in 9mm. Its smaller/lighter than the XD sc in every dimension and smaller/lighter than the G26 in every dimension, except the height. I have small hands and still cant get my pinky to rest over the grip of the XDsc and G26. I know you can buy mag extensions, but that kinda hurts its concealability. The Glocks also point terribly for me. The XD9 sc, despite the gauntlet of torture testing done to XD's, failed for me 5 times out of a box of 50 rounds. It was a range rental. The Kahr CW40 there fired perfectly but was too much to control for me. It also cost me $405 out the door after 6% sales tax, so roughly $100-$150 cheaper than the other models. That extra money saved could be set aside for ammo, a gun smith or shipping to the manufacturer, even though you likely wont need it.

Out of the 3 options you listed, i would go with the CZ.
