• Possible Downtime Alert

I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.

When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.

More information is available in this thread.

As always, thanks so much for your patience.

I'm getting ready to load for 7.62x39 and would like to get a case/ammunition gauge. I currently have a Sheridan for .223/.556 and would buy a 7.62x39 gauge from them but they don't make one. I'm looking at the L.E. Wilson gauge for min spec chambers. This one...

I want to be able to load one round and have it usable in multiple guns. Any thoughts or experience with this gauge? Recommendations are also welcome.

What gun is it, most are a cip chamber, most us guns are saami chamber. I don't think I've seen cip gauges before. L.e. Wilson makes nice stuff tho.

The rifle is an old Colt Match AR-15 with a 1/12 twist barrel. I bought it new shortly after the Clinton AWB went into effect. It's a good shooter with 123gr bullets, but I'm ready to start loading for it.

I also have a 1950 russian-made SKS (all matching numbers including the bayonet) and an AK-47 (which I honestly don't really like). I figure if the ammo fits the Colt, it will fit the other two.

My neighbor has one of those. With the 1:12 twist barrel it prefers the lighter 55gr bullets. The ones over 60gr tumbled in his.

My apologies, I should have stated that my Colt is chambered in 7.62x39. Hence the 123gr bullet.

My other AR is chambered in 223/5.56 with a 1/9 twist and shoots the 55gr and 62gr bullets well. Haven't tried anything heavier.
