Beretta 87 Target

Simply put the single best .22LR autoloader I've ever owned/shot. It's large like the S&W 41, it's tacticool, it has an exposed hammer, and it will accept optics directly to the top of the barrel. A lot of folks love the Ruger's but I have to say they have a "Lugerish" thing going for them that I personally don't care for. Additionally, they have the single most irritating mag release I can imagine. That being said, they shoot well and in general don't wear out. Now that I think about it, I've yet to hear of a .22LR actually wearing out. I used to own a couple of Browning Buckmarks. The triggers are wonderfull as are the frame dimensions. The thing that drove me to the Beretta was that the Browning is held together with two screws running down over the top of the slide. Those screws work themselves loose pretty quickly. They also ensure that a takedown for cleaning will take at least 5 minutes. Please be sure that I am not referring to the Neos which by all accounts is a fine gun however it possess a safety designed to dig into the shooters hand whenever it is on. What I find interesting about the Neos is that the safety operates precisely backasswords for a frame mounted safety.
