Looking for an affordable long eye relief scope

I got myself a (mostly) numbers matching early production Mosin PEM sniper which for the past three years I've used for hunting.
The gentleman I bought the rifle from told me the original scope was busted circa 1982 and he then replaced it with a Carton Japan 3-9x 40mm scope which sure, it works fine but even with the quite generous 95mm eye relief it has I really need to crane my neck forward to get a clear sight picture and I'm just about fed up with it.

So we arrive at my current quest. I'm looking for a longer eye relief scope with some variable power. Somewhere around 140-160mm should be good.
I really only use the current one up to 6 but more wouldn't hurt I guess if I ever decide to start shooting at ranges longer than 150 meters.

Yes, those are 3D printed plastic scope shims, the rings are the original 26.5/27mm diameter.They have held fine.
No, I am not buying a new mount.

As a general rule Leupold will have the most generous eye relief. Set on the lowest magnification most will be close to 5". On the higher magnifications most are still 4" or more. Not sure what that converts to in metrics but most scopes will be sub 4" on any setting.

Some scopes have a constant eye relief at all magnifications of around 4". But those tend to be more expensive scopes. You can get a Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9X40 for around $250-$300.

A less expensive option with almost the same eye relief is the Burris FF-II. I see those on Amazon for around $160. IMO they are just as good as a $300 Leupold.

5 inch is a little under what I’d need to get a comfortable position on the rifle.
Did the conversion and 150mm just in the middle of what I’m looking for is right about 6 inches.

It would be affordable if I lived in the US but shipping and import tax would make that more like a 600-700 dollar scope which it very much isn’t worth. For that money I’d rather get a whole new mount machined and buy a used Leupold or Kahles.

I have a Burris Fulfield II on my Savage 30-06 and it’s been a great scope over the years.
