Watched a few videos last night and they seem to be hit or miss. The positives seem to be the double action trigger is considered decent for a rimfire and the price for these all steel revolvers is close to that of the Ruger LCR, the cons being function issues.

Asking as this month I plan to buy my first DA .22 revolver and between the Ruger LCRx and these Rock Island/Alfa Proj revolvers are my top two choices.

I was very disappointed in the trigger on my 22lr LCRx. I've owned a number of DA 22 revolvers, and only the K22 has a good trigger.

The SA 22 revolvers are fine. My Single Six will outshoot any of my DA ones, other than the K22.

My Charter Pathfinder has a decent trigger but hasn't been 100% reliable.

I didn't know they made one. I looked it up and was kind of shocked by the price compared to their 38 special revolvers.

RIA doesn't make them, they import/distribute them from a company in the Czech Republic. They're better finished, better blued, but I look at the Alfa Proj revolvers and I get the sense that they will probably feel like a Taurus and a few videos I've seen it looks like there are some QC issues.

I'm hoping to hear from anyone who has personal experience with the Alfa Proj revolvers. Up until a couple years ago I had never heard of the company before.

The RIA Model AL22 9 – round?

Mine has been accurate and reliable, no problems; fit and finish is on par with my Smith and Ruger revolvers.

Guess I got a ‘hit.’

gotcha, that makes sense

Perhaps I got a miss. One of the features that attracted me was the adjustable trigger. Attempted adjusting the trigger and the cylinder locked up because while testing, a snap cap got behind the ejector. So objectively it's either my actions in general, or the snap cap, or the ejector or any combination of the three.

Sent it back for warranty repair, no problem there. Was returned in two weeks. No specifics regarding repair. Was impressed overall with the fit and finish. But I was discouraged by the situation and sold it off. Purchased a S&W 617 instead. So far its a winner.

ive been variously unhappy with a taurus 94, ruger lcr and s&w 317. i suggest ruger single action revolvers and one of several top-shelf semiauto pistols if looking for a 22lr handgun.
