I'm looking for something fun for the range in .32 cal, mostly because I have the components to load and it seems a nifty caliber. Was initially looking for a PPK or CZ82 or Beretta 81, but these seems to be rare in the US. Also looked at 327 Fed from Ruger, but again seems nobody stocks them.

What's been fun for you in .32?

A 4inch barrel Ruger sp101 spells lots of fun with all sorts of interesting loads from the most anemic to the most powerful.

Beretta is once again making the 81. Expensive but excellent.
Hard to find but the older Sig P230 is a fun gun. Another high quality choice.
One of the older classics is a good choice. A nice Walther is a joy.
CZ83 is fun. Check for the new style mags though.

I've had fun with old .32S&W revolvers such as the safety hammerless DAO and 1 1/2 single action. Most are genuine antiques (made before 1899) but they can often be had for $350-700. Note these fire the original .32S&W, not what is currently sold as .32S&W.

In the modern world, the single seven and sp-101 in .327 fed are both a blast.

I shoot an old S&W .32 Long Hand Ejector. Also a 1903 Colt .32 auto. And a pair of Colt Police Positives that shoot .32 Long. All 4 are great fun, and accurate, to boot.

I'm very lucky to have a CZ27 that is great to shoot. This gun came back from Germany at the end of WWII. I also have the original holster but only 1 magazine. I'm not up on the current models but I agree they are fun to shoot. I also have a Kel-Tec P-32.

Funny; I was just in the LGS today and they had a nice CZ-70 there with three mags. I looked it over and really liked its fit and feel, but left without it.

I've been regretting that this evening. If it's still there this weekend, it's probably gonna end up mine (they're wanting $300.)

I really do like all-steel, Eastern-European pistols, but only have two so far (FEG AP-22 and Bulgarian Makarov.)

This gal. 30-1 3" 6 shot j frame. 32swl ctg. Gutter rear, blade front, and as you can see in the attached photo it shoots acceptably well. The pictured target is 5 shots from 7 yards. The squares are 1 inch by 1 inch. Love this one, but want different grips, I'm tired of the pachy mudgrips, this gun needs something wood.

I'd get the Beretta Cheetah while they're still making them.

There has really been a dearth of .32 ACP guns that fit the hand well, have good sights, have decent triggers and are pleasant to shoot.

Almost every other .32 ACP semi-auto that is a current production gun falls short in one of these areas.

You could get a .327 Federal Magnum revolver but I've heard mixed reviews about how accurate .32 ACP is when fired from 327 revolvers.

I am very much a fan of 32's and have owned quite a few. In revolvers my favorite is my Single Six in 32 H&R - it has good sights and a nice long 6.5" barrel. I have quite a few others. If it is just for fun and you want a snubby, the old H&R/NEF in 32 H&R can be gotten inexpensively. I got two for next to nothing and they are fun for plinking.

In 32acp I own or have owned several. My favorite is my Colt 1903. It has been refinished and I got it for less than $400. The sights are small, but it has a decently long barrel and is accurate. I had an FEG that looked kind of like a PP. My FiL liked it so much that he talked me out of it somehow. The balance is excellent. I replaced it with a CZ70. It doesn't fit my hand well, but has functioned flawlessly.

My FiL has a CZ83 in 380 that is outstanding. If I ran across one in 32acp I would want to buy it. The Berettas in 32acp, I think they are Model 81, are available brand-new on Gunbroker right now for around $700. I have a Model 84 that is a very good gun and I believe the 81 is similar. If you are interested, buy one soon. My understanding is that they don't get imported often, and after this batch is gone there might not be any more for a long time.

Hi, HP-Sauce,

If you plan to reload, I assume you know that the .32 S&W "family" (.32 S&W, .32 S&W Long, .32 H&R Magnum and .327 Federal) are revolver cartridges and not the same as the .32 ACP which is an auto pistol cartridge. While the .32 ACP can be fired in some revolvers (the practice is not recommended), the reverse is not true.

If memory serves me, I had a couple Charter Arms .32's back in the 70's, 80's. Fun little revolvers.

Haven't had a .32 caliber gun in a long time but when I did it was a Walther PP, Beretta Model 90 (Roma), and several Ruger Single Sixes, including a beautiful Bisley model.

How about something a little different in .32 S&W long?

I like this little S&W Hand Ejector in 32 Long. Built on the "I" frame with a 3" barrel.

Anything I buy in 32 cal will also be able to handle 327 Mag.

I would wait for a Ruger or look for a S&W revolver.

Semi's throw brass that is expensive and sometimes hard to find. The 327 revolver offers a ton of ammo options, miss-feeds are non-existent, and the brass is never lost.

i have a s&w 31 in .32 long that has adjustable sights installed, s&w rear and a micro front blade. i got it at a public auction for a song as collector value is nil. a great little walk around revolver if not running into big bitters. eastbank.

I absolutely love my sp101 in .327 because it gives me the option to shoot such a wide variety of loads. A few local gun shops carry the standard federal load and a lot more places carry 32 long etc. I ordered my sp101 at my local store and they had it for me within a week. For my money .327 is the only way to go in .32 caliber guns.
