A very few of the .17 cal convertable Hunters made it into the market. They're now seldom seen and will command a hefty price - figure $700 +/- for a nice one.
that was the answer i was afraid of... follow up question, will the 17m2 conversion cylinders available from midway be a direct swap for the 6.5" .17hmr variety that is still availalbe?
