I moved here a few months ago and only recently heard that the Butte country sheriff CCW applications are treated as "shall-issue."
I was wondering if anyone around here has actually went through the process.
Looking at the sheriffs application here

It looks pretty easy.
What I am wondering is, what would be good cause?
The only argument I can think of right now is basically:
When an assailant shows intent to inflict bodily harm, I have no effective way to defend my life from said harm, even if authorities have been notified. The limited time before said attack might not yield enough to call authorities. If authorities however are notified, response time after presumed call would not be fast enough to prevent imminent life threatening attack from an assailant intending to inflict bodily harm. Since it is impossible to identify, predict, guess when or if a person intends to cause bodily harm at any given time, I must argue it would be in good cause for my CCW permit issuance.
(Hell when to Serve and Protect is just a motto, and police CANT be sued for NOT Serving and Protecting; right there is enough for good cause for me, heh.)
[p.s. I do not have a job, and am not currently taking any classes]
