Looking to upgrade scope for CZ 527

I currently am using a Vortex Sonora. It's decent up to 125 yards.

Multiple reviews and research say the CZ 527 can accurately shoot to 700 yards.

I was going to put the Vortex Venom on it but the Venom is huge.

How far would this scope let me accurately see.

What kind of targets are you shooting?

Trying for bug holes on paper, or ringing steel gongs?

12x is plenty to bang plates out to 1k on rigs capable of keeping bullets stable that far.

If twilight hunting isn't something you do with this 527, you don't need a large scope, one of sufficient power, certainly, but clarity of glass is what you might need.
