I was looking around on Gun Broker last night and saw a listing in a sidebar for 500 rounds of Aguila 22LR with a few minutes to go, and the bidding was $81 for 500 rounds.

Forgot about it till just now and decided to go look and see what it went for. $115 with $10 shipping for 500 rounds!

Its in the link below (I think its the third one down on the right), along with a bunch of other insanities.

It really is hard to fathom that people are just this stupid and so easily driven to panic, especially since this isnt the first, or even second panic weve been through in recent times.

Heres a list of some finished auctions on Gun Broker for .22LR. If you notice, the majority of them sold, had multiple bids, and went for crazy prices.

Check out what 9mm is going for too.

People are just straight-up nuts!

Cool. I got about 8,000 rounds of 22LR from about 1999 I wouldn't mind letting go of.
Yeah I already sold a bunch of old 9mm walmart ammo on there, made good money.

I bought a brick last night at my LFGS for $70 (that is with tax) for SK Standard Plus. Might be able to do a little better online but not much for a single brick when you factor in shipping.

I really don’t get the demand for .22lr, it’s never been more than a recreational round for me so low priority.

In times of limited funds I’d chose a box of crazy priced centerfire and shoot less than cheaper rimfire.

Many people would disagree, they would rather shoot something, even rimfire.

Volume. When centerfire is hard to find... or impossible... having 500 rounds of .22LR is a viable option.

I have probably shot more 22 LR in competition than any other cartridge other than maybe 40S&W. I have also taken more game with 22 LR than any other cartridge I have hunted with.

We've been shutting down ammo panic threads as we know this. So, here we go again.
