Okay, for those of you who have never seen the show LOST or just couldn't catch an episode here and there, it is now available free on-line

Of course there are a lot of ABC shows that are listed, but LOST has a lot of guns in it.

We see a makarov in season 2, do we ever see it again?

What is with all those shorty rounds in the AKs? Did they order a bunch of California Compliant guns?

One interesting issue is gun rights. There are two self-made 'kings' of the refugees. King A keeps a locked case of handguns (from an FBI agent on prisoner transport who died) and later a bunker with a small armory is uncovered, then King A and King B both know the combo to the armory, because they don't want just anyone walking in and grabbing guns...even though they are repeatedly attacked by a different group of people on the island. One part of me says 'well, each guy was lucky enough to find a pile of guns. Finders keepers, their choice to share or not' except pretty much all the other materials were gathered for group use.

We all know that when the threat arrives you don't have time to go run to the armory open the door and start issuing firearms.

I guess if it was me, I'd keep one plus a spare for myself, and give my allies firearms so they may help defend me. If we are as a group going to be sharing our resources, then I'd say let everyone who can shoot decent have a firearm, and then after those people are armed, any excess firearms can be doled out with a bit of an introductory course. Possibly hold back a few as spare parts.

Sorry, used to watch LOST; I quit when it started getting drawn out without any resolutions or revelations, then getting weird with Star Trek-like "flashes" ...:scrutiny:
Yeah, it was OK with regard to guns but what it really needed was more intelligent characters.:banghead:

I was watching an episode the other day, and their gun use was extremely frustrating. Every time they heard a noise and pointed their guns at it, there were "cocking" sound effects.

Then one character used a suppressed pistol to kill someone. It sounded like the proverbial cat fart, and then when the magazine was empty, he kept pulling the trigger and it kept clicking. Only problem was, it appeared to be a 1911 or some other type of single-action autoloader.

On the other hand, they have an interesting variety. Last couple episodes there were guns that appeared to be a FN FAL, a Luger, and a short-barrel shotgun with a pistol grip (hidden in a piano bench of all places). There was also some sort of milsurp rifle (an SKS?).

I too am frustrated by the recent lack of revelations as to what's really happening on the island, so I don't bother watching on TV anymore--I just watch episodes online when I get a chance.

If you haven't noticed, there is no consistency among firearms on Lost. Weapons types even change between scenes, i.e. Sawyer has an AK one second and a FAL the next. I'm convinced that the producers are doing this on purpose to underscore the otherworldliness of the island.
