LW or LT

Looking at a couple of Remingtons yesterday, 1100 and 870's. Can someone tell me what the diff is in the LW and LT designations in these models. I have a standard weight 870 20 ga which is built on a 12 ga frame and the "lightweight" 20ga is on a true 20 ga frame thus the barrels and stocks don't interchange. So is this true for the 1100?

Yes - it is basicaly the same for the 1100 as the Standard weight guns were made on 12 ga. frames, and the LW and LT are small framed versions.
