I just bought a standard weight 20 ga 1100 Remington with a VR fixed choke skeet barrel. The standard weight is built on a 12 ga frame. From what I gather production ended @1975. Remington built 20 ga 1100s in standard, LW (not sure what that is), and LT-20 that they still produce. Can anyone shed some light on what the exact differences are between models and when they were produced. Any serial number info out there?

The gun is @90%. I stripped (down to the recoil spring) and cleaned it. I shot 4 rounds of skeet with it Sunday an hit @90%. Function was 99%, one shell hung up half-way-in (Estate, could have been ammo). Recoil, as expected, was very light. So far, I'm very happy!

There's a reason we do not see many of these for sale. Too many happy owners. Especially skeeters.

Call Remington at 1-800-243-9700. They'll tell you the born on date.

Enjoy....

Nice guns. I have owned 2 of the standard weights in 20ga.

I can't help on the dates, but if I recall correctly the LW was the first of the small frame models, being basically the same at the LT . I can't remember when I last seen an LW .
