Hey guys,
I'm thinking about putting a Lyman 66MC sight on a Marlin 39A. It's a current production 39, already tapped on top of the receiver for scope rail. I don't like the semi-buckhorn rear sight and do like the Lyman sight (I have used them on other rifles).
Anyway, the other Lyman 66s I have used were on rifles already tapped on side of the receiver, but my 39 isn't tapped the same way. Does anyone know if the 66MC sight is designed to fasten to the top of the receiver in the same holes as the scope rail, or will I have to get the side of the receiver tapped?
Anyone else out there done this?
Thanks
