I don't know if this is going to be any help or not.

I spent quite a bit of time researching these before I settled on the RCBS case mate. My choice cost more than what your contemplating so that could be a big influence. Also, while I got mine on sale, I also purchased the Lyman hand held multi tool for the chamfer and de-burr and I picked up the RCBS small and large primer pocket uniformers and mil crimp removers. So I have no small amount of money in mine.

The reason for swapping out the rcbs chamfer and deburr is because the Lyman is so much nicer and sharper.

The main reason why I decided against the Hornady is because I wanted the 5 stations not 3. So in my opinion if money is an issue and you can live with 3 stations it might be a good fit for you.

If you are referring to the big $400.00 tool then for $80.00 get it.

was interested in the 3 hornady one but too many bad reviews for me and I don't like how the tools wobble on every vid I watched. I seen the lyman has the adapter to put a cutter on it so I liked that. I can get the rcbs for $100 and lyman a little more.

I have the Lyman prep center and I do love it. I don't think I would like that adapter with it. I used the lee trimmer with a drill and I found it to be a pain to put the casings in the chuck over and over again. If you're not processing a ton of brass it probably wouldn't be bad. Currently I use and LE WIlson trimmer with an adapter for a drill. In my opinion it is a lot easier on the fingers than using the Lee chuck. When I bought the Lyman I looked hard at the Frankford Arsenal trimmer and prep center. If I didn't already have a good bit wrapped up in the LE WIlson trimmer I would have bought that. It only has three stations and the trimmer. The trimmer can be used for any caliber too. If it had 4 or more stations or if I didn't already have the LE Wilson trimmer I would have bought it.

I looked at that when I started loading rifle,
223/5.56. I didn't like the wobble others have noted, plus I prefer swage rather than cutting the primer pockets.

Went with a combo of little crow trimmer, Frankford Arsenal steel pin tumbler, and Dillon Super Swage 600. Couldn't be happier

If you use the Lee case gauge/trimmers you just need this part

for anything under a 100 cases it works fine, but I ended up getting the Trim-It case trimmer for my .223 cases. I'd also recommend getting a gripper glove. I do have the Lyman Xpress Case Prep Center. Works fine for all my uses. I did add certain accessories from RCBS, as long as the thread is right they all seem to work just fine in it.
