Hey,

I just bought an M10 for $460 and haven't taken it out of layaway yet, but I did buy a Tapco Folding Stock off Gunbroker... I haven't really had a chance to dig into the guts of this beautiful piece and wanna know will my new stock bolt right on or will it take some surgery? I know AK's pretty well, but this is my first one so I wanna know if its worth the good deal I got on the stock?

Tks,

Mike

Just saw a flyer today for the M&M ak-47. I think it was a model m10. Can anyone help with quality and what kind of price I should be looking for? They look awesome! It has a quad rail, tapco break, hogue group, collapsible recoil reducing stock, pro mag, and rail covers. I am seriously debating one right now. Any help is appreciated.

I really like the M10-762s. I have two and wish I would have bought more when they were under $500.00. From my experience, they are 1.5 to 2.5 MOA rifles. Everything is nice and tight (mags lock very snug), but the finish on both of mine leaves much to be desired. That is fine though as I plan on painting both of them.

Right now $600.00 seems to be the going rate for these rifles. When compared to the other AKMs, I feel this is a fair price. Keep in mind that all AK prices have gone up considerably over the past year.

The Promag magazine is garbage. I called M&M to complain about the mag and they sent me a very nice Bulgarian mag. They said that they were switching over to Bulgarian mags due to overwhelming amount of complaints they received in regards to the Promag.

The Hogue grip is awesome as always.

I like the quad rail, some don't. The M&M rail is very well-made and sturdy.

The Tapco break is *OK*, but only serves aesthetic purposes.

I'd try to save some money (if price is a concern of your's) and get the M10 without the recoil-reducing stock. 7.62x39 does not have enough recoil to warrant a recoil-reducing stock in my opinion. Opting out of that could save you $70-100.
