Anybody know if the WW2 era M1 Carbine ammo pouches that slip onto the stock can hold a regular 10 round 10/22 magazine in each pocket?

Thanks. Do you think you could stack a couple 50 round boxes of 22lr in it?

I have found that revolver dual speed loader pouches(~$10) hold 10/22 mags quite well. Easy to put on your belt. Should be easy to rig up for a M1 carbine.

The standard carbine pouches worn on a belt are ideal for 50 round .22 boxes, did that for years when I was younger. The 10/22 mags were to thick and tight to be worth the hassle, on the buttstock pouch you also have the curvature of the stock to deal with. Any stock pouch always seemed like a bulky mess and extra weight, to put to your shoulder to me.
