10/22 M1 Carbine Project with Pics

I am just finishing my project of turning a stock 10/22 into a M1 carbine look a like. I added the M1 stock and a new front sight/flip up rear sight. I still need to pick up a M1 carbine sling.

However would like to do something with the Magazine. I though I saw on here where somebody took a 15 round M1 mag and mated it to 10/22 mag. I like the look of it. Obviously would not use a original mag for this.

Any idea on what would be the best way to join the 2 mags? Basically joining metal and plastic together.

Thanks.

Brion

Pics to follow. Think it looks good so far.

From what I have heard they used epoxy for the job. Sand the metal to give better adhesion, and I would assume JB Weld would join the two magazines quite well.

I have the 10/22 conversion with Tech Sights, M1 carbine sling, and I love the little thing! I used to think that it was too short, but once I got used to it, I really appreciated the handyness of the carbine, and the accuracy is pretty decent too. A sling would definitely be a great addition for the rifle, both for carrying in the field, and if you take some time and use the sling to stabilize your shot.

Pretty darn cool...where did you get the parts? I found one company (link on home computer). Just wondering if more then one company was offering bits to do this.

Thanks.
