I put this here since I figured Rifle nuts would care more than the general population.
My wife works in a pawn shop here in Oklahoma. Most of the "good" guns I get myself, but I am not at all intereted in this. . .Somebody on here might be VERY interested.
She bought a M1 yesterday, which is not unusual. However it was, apparently, made by IBM Corp during the first World War.
it is marked: u.s. carbine cal 30 m1 ibm ser #372xxx
As is the custom of pawn shops, she didn't give the guy full market value.
She says it is in rough shape, but is gonna email me pics in a few, so I will post them.
Her boss has it listed for $500 right now. . .
I honestly have no idea if this is of any value to anybody, but I had never heard of IBM making rifles.
